About Us
A Specialist Centre for Advanced Osseointegration
LimbLife® is led by Mr Matija Krkovic and Mr Charles Loh. Mr Krkovic is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Mr Loh is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon, both of whom have extensive experience in complex orthoplastic limb reconstruction of the upper and lower limbs following trauma or chronic bone and soft-tissue infection.
By integrating advanced expertise in both skeletal and soft-tissue reconstruction, LimbLife® offers optimised, patient-centred reconstructive solutions for individuals with complex limb injuries. The team’s experience in osseointegration following limb amputation provides an additional pathway for functional restoration in appropriately selected patients.
At LimbLife®, care is delivered within a comprehensive multidisciplinary framework, working closely with psychologists, prosthetists, and physiotherapists to ensure patients are fully supported and achieve the best possible functional and quality-of-life outcomes.
What Is Osseointegration?
Redefining the Connection Between Body and Prosthesis
Osseointegration is the direct fusion between bone and a titanium implant, replacing the need for traditional prosthetic sockets. This bond provides unmatched stability, strength, and mobility.
Implantation
A titanium fixture is surgically inserted into the bone.
Integration
The bone naturally fuses with the implant over time.
Attachment
The prosthetic connects via a small skin interface.
Rehabilitation
Gradual strength training restores balance and confidence.
